20 /10 /2020: The beginning of the end of a peaceful Nigeria

Today 20th of october 2020 marks a sad day in the history of Nigeria, the red color on the flag instead of white is an illustration of how a once peaceful Nigeria has erupted into crisis and an impending danger. Nationwide protests began on October 8, 2020, calling on the authorities to abolish an abusive police unit called the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS). In response, the police have shot tear gas, water cannons and live rounds at protesters, killing people and leaving lots of others wounded.  Armed thugs have also disrupted protests and attacked protesters. The protests were sparked by a video that surfaced online on October 3, 2020 allegedly showing a SARS official shooting a young man in Delta state. This generated an outcry on social media, Twitter especially, where the hashtag #ENDSARS began trending globally , and led to protests across Nigeria and other cities around the world. Responding to the protesters, the Government announced the dismissal of SARS on October 11, 2020

A Chinese lady who stays in the city of Wuhan,China has mouth washed the Chinese government down to the lowest level. She says that the Chinese government planned and schemed the outbreak of the Corona virus, she also said that only normal or i would rather say average citizens suffer from the pandemic in China.  She says the Chinese government is responsible for the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic. She says the Government doesn't care about the average Chinese citizen, she labels the Chinese government an evil communist party, a corrupt regime and an evil society. She says there is tension everywhere as no one can speak freely against the Chinese Government. Buhari Extends Lock down By Two Weeks(14 days)  President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the lock down in Lagos,Abuja, Ogun and some other states in the country by two weeks due to the corona virus. The President made this announcement in a national broadcast aired on NTA news. He urged Nigerians to be very calm and endure the measures put in place to try to subdue and overcome the corona virus.            But the question is, " for how long can an average Nigerian keep up with this measures".             Nigeria has been faced with a disaster that if not properly handled can wreck havoc in the country. Corona Virus In Nigeria Corona virus as we all know has rampaged the earth since its introduction mid November 2019 in the city of Wuhan, China. Nigeria has experienced a slight progression of corona virus cases since the introduction of its first case on the 27th of February 2020 which as we all know was an Italian man who arrived in Nigeria on the 24th of February 2020. Now the case of the Italian is all old news as number of cases have increased in Nigeria, lots of happenings have happened , lots of measures have been taken to curb the spread of this dangerous virus which i often call "the king of all viruses".  Surprisingly, i am surprised at the controversy circulating the lock down enforced on some states in Nigeria most importantly Lagos state.
