Corona Virus In Nigeria

Corona Virus In Nigeria

Corona virus as we all know has rampaged the earth since its introduction mid November 2019 in the city of Wuhan, China.

Nigeria has experienced a slight progression of corona virus cases since the introduction of its first case on the 27th of February 2020 which as we all know was an Italian man who arrived in Nigeria on the 24th of February 2020.

Now the case of the Italian is all old news as number of cases have increased in Nigeria, lots of happenings have happened , lots of measures have been taken to curb the spread of this dangerous virus which i often call "the king of all viruses".
Surprisingly, i am surprised at the controversy circulating the lock down enforced on some states in Nigeria most importantly Lagos state.

The lock down in Nigeria has left lots of daily hustlers go hungry and also to worsen matters the country has not made enough supplements available to correct the darkening effects of hunger and poverty in the country.
The sets of workers that have been allowed to work since the lock down are the Grade 13 and above workers ,aside those, people who sell in the market are also permitted but within a specific time.

The NCDC has advised a "stay at home" rule and also advised Nigerians to keep safe by washing their hands regularly and properly, also to observe social distancing.

However, the Covid-19 case is still on and on the 9th of April 2020, 14 new cases were reported with 13 in Lagos state and one in Delta state.

As of 09:30 pm on the 9th of April, there are 288 confirmed cases of #Covid-19 reported in Nigeria with 51 recoveries and sadly 7 deaths.

Around the world in General there are 1,617,204 #Covid-19 cases and total recoveries of 364,686 with 97,039 deaths.
